Needle Issues & Picture Stitcher
Needle position is absolutely critical for successful sewing, acting as the foundation for stitch formation, accuracy, and efficiency. Proper insertion (flat side back and scarf facing the back) ensures the hook catches the thread to avoid skipped stitches. Meanwhile, selecting "needle down" is vital for pivoting corners, while "needle up" allows for easy fabric removal.
MR stands for Micro Rib. It refers to a needle design that has tiny engineered ribs near the eye of the needle.
These micro ribs help reduce friction on the thread as it passes through the fabric and improve how the stitch loop forms inside the machine.
In simple terms, the MR needle helps the machine grab the thread more consistently, which can reduce skipped stitches and thread breakage, especially at higher speeds.
