Team Leadership & Organizational Ownership

Credit Assessment & Risk Judgment for Large Deals

  1. Develop documented career development plans for each direct report for their next level (including skill gaps, authority progression, and promotion path to the next level).
  2. Conduct biweekly 1:1s with measurable development action items.
  3. Deliver mid-year performance calibration summaries for each team member (what did each team member accomplish).

Demonstrate Full Manager-Level People Ownership

Act as a level 1 credit committee member and work directly with the Director of Mid-Market Credit on large deals up to $5m. Learning Goals

  1. How to size, term, and price $1m+ deals
  2. How to structure broker commission and backend bonus to optimize company profitability on deals
  3. How to orchestrate and streamline information flow in a large group Slack Channel that spans multiple departments (Underwriting, Sales, Legal, Closing, and includes EXCO).
  4. Independently evaluate and decide two-tier pricing deviations within delegated limits for the team.
  5. You will be responsible for reassigning large deals or completing them individually when members of the large deal team are OOO.

Operate as a True Level-1 Credit Committee Manager

  • Work with the CRO, Director of Mid-Market Credit, and Senior Loan Officer to implement AI Technology/Software into Underwriting that can:
    • Record Underwriting calls -> translate call transcripts into an organized and easy-to-read call summary -> automatically place the call summary into Salesforce at the Account level.
