What you should know
In order to properly configure and use Contract Management:
- Ensure that your database is licensed to Contract Management. Your account manager or customer success manager can assist you in confirming this information, if needed.
- Configure the template document or documents that you wish to use in the contracting process. These template documents are used as the body of the contract itself and can include Account Template Documents, Event template Documents, and Word Merge Template Documents.
- Prepare any Contract Clauses that will be used in your Contract management workflows.

Access Privileges and Contract Security
When using Contract Management, users may require varying access privileges to determine what aspects of active contracts users can alter and at what stage of the contracting process. For Example, you may choose to limit or disable a user’s ability to change a contract once it reaches a certain status, such as “Final Review.” However, we should allow for the Director of Sales to be able to make changes to the contract at any stage, if necessary. You can configure these rules from either the Access Privileges page on the Main Menu, the Roles page, or from the Contract Configuration page. For further access privilege assistance, please reach out to your primary Momentus contact.
