Let me read the Example Text

Amelia’s Forgettery

One warm summer afternoon, Amelia went to visit Granny at her thatched cottage. It was nestled into a wild wood which was the perfect place for exploring. Amelia was an adventurous girl but she was also very forgetful. She always forgot things like doing her homework or where she had put her toys. She also loved to daydream and consequently she often lost track of time. As Granny opened the door with a big smile, Amelia could not wait for their next adventure.

Amelia and Granny set off into the woods and began to explore. They spotted all kinds of creatures and wildflowers as bright as sunshine. Hours went by as they wandered deeper into the trees. After a while, an uneasy feeling started to bother Amelia. “Does this path look a bit strange to you?” she asked. Granny thought it looked unfamiliar too. Suddenly, Amelia realised. They had forgotten the way home!

Soon, Amelia and Granny stumbled upon a sunlit glade and approached an enormous treehouse in the centre. “What is this place?” asked Granny curiously when they crept inside. Amelia gasped as they entered a vast room full of doors, spiralling slides and busy staff. “Welcome to The Forgettery! This is where all your forgotten memories can be found,” called a man in roller skates. Amelia and Granny smiled in relief while following him to the winding staircases. They watched as he delivered bunches of keys, toys and boxes to different people’s Forgettery doors.

Eventually, they reached a small but cosy shed. It felt like home because of its warmth and light. “This one says Amelia’s Forgettery, so it must be yours!” smiled Granny. The room was as comforting as a welcoming hug. There were Amelia’s toys from years ago and her lost socks of every colour. Best of all were the fluttery butterflies illuminating all the happy moments she had forgotten. Amelia was lost for words. Seeing her memories here felt like finding old friends again.

Just then, something was delivered to Amelia’s Forgettery. It was a map to show them the way home and eventually, they made it back to Granny’s thatched cottage. Granny began putting things into a book for Amelia. It was an album full of photos and little notes to help her remember all the lovely things they had done together. She hugged Granny tightly. “I may forget lots of things, but I will never forget our adventures,” Amelia whispered.
