Eli's Den
You’re inside the glass-walled empire. This house was built for silence and survival, but it was perfected by a woman who refused to follow the rules. Explore my sanctuary. Every room has a story. Every corner holds a secret.

Could You Envsion Yourself Here?
I built this sanctuary out of glass and stone to be a fortress of transparency and strength—every window designed to let the mountain in while keeping the world out. I wanted a front-row seat to the Canadian wild, but I didn't realize the view would become so dangerous until Max moved in. I might have 'forgotten' to show her how to close the blinds, but watching her silhouette against the glass as she pulls on one of my flannels is a much better view than the trees. I designed the outdoor shower to be the most primitive part of the den—a raw sanctuary of rock and sky where only the steam rising off your skin stands between you and the Canadian wild. Every detail is intentional, from the natural stone walls to the organic oils and body washes my mother handcrafts from the earth itself. Max became obsessed with this view carved of pine and stone long before she admitted she was falling for the man who provided it. And seeing her step out from the stone, glowing and smelling like the scents my mother created, is enough to make a man forget every one of his rules. Spoiler alert: I broke all the rules. Find out what else happens in this outdoor shower!
My mother stays here when she visits, which is why the walls are covered in her work—those vivid sunsets that feel almost too beautiful to be real. I’ve mixed in a few of my own shots of wild animals and running rivers, capturing the mountain exactly as I see it. I designed this space for peace and solitude, but maybe I'm also just waiting for the right person to finally make it feel like home.
The air in here is thick, heavy, and ripe with the scent of damp earth and growing things, but it’s nothing compared to the heat that ignites when I have Max on that bench right there. In this space, we don't just grow; we lose ourselves in the kind of 'good trouble' that makes the blizzard outside feel like a minor inconvenience.
In my world, everything has a purpose and a place, but the moment Max sat on this granite island, she rearranged it all. I built this kitchen for sustenance, yet with her, the only hunger I feel has nothing to do with a meal. This island wasn't just made for preparing food; it was made for the kind of feasting that leaves us both breathless long before breakfast gets cold.
Everything I grow here is repurposed. My mother likes to make oils and washes out of the plants. It's her way of giving back.
I built this greenhouse for balance. It's a humid, living sanctuary where life can thrive even when the Canadian winter is trying to freeze everything solid. It’s the only place where the lines between the wild and the refined start to blur, much like the rules I tried to keep between me and Max.
