Seed’s Story – Three

my life goes on happily knowing I grow a great secret for inside my flowers my fruit rest more seeds exactly like me… which soon as the blue sky-umbrella folds away and warm sun slides to another place drop to the ground or fly off sail-spiralling unknown directions through chilled currents or get carried towards the blurred pale horizon by a medley of shelter-seeking animals and birds

every seed now waiting silent unseen until the next thrust of light and wet knowing that tight cold echoing stillness and quieting of life will pass in just another earth moment or two

A) Which words or phrases does the poet use to show different ways its seed is dispersed?

Reveal Explainer

The words ‘drop to the ground’ show that some seeds are dispersed by falling. This means that gravity, or dropping from the plant, helps to spread the seeds so new plants can grow.
