SONGBIRDS
Songbirds are birds that use beautiful songs to communicate with each other and defend their territories. They come in a wide range of colours and sizes. Robins, sparrows and finches are well-known examples. Songbirds feed on seeds, insects and fruits. They build nests in trees, bushes and gardens. Listening to their songs is enjoyable because each species has its own distinct tune. Songbirds also help nature by dispersing seeds and controlling insect populations.
