This collection was born from a simple desire: to open those doors, let the light in, and show everyone what our students are capable of when given the chance to truly express themselves. It is with great pride that we present a selection of works representing the very best of this year's student output. You will find the two short stories by students of class 3A, joint winners of the Prix Lumière s.y.2024-2025, pieces that have already earned official recognition and now finally find a publishing space worthy of their quality. You will find a recipe book, born from the passion and curiosity of the students of class 1H, where food becomes language, culture and identity. You will find a collection of ghost stories written by the students of class 2H — spine-chilling tales crafted with the natural confidence of young writers who already know how to play with words. And finally, two essays on the Gulf of Poets, the result of in-depth research carried out by the students of classes 3A and 3E, proving that a spirit of enquiry and a love for one's own territory can go hand in hand with academic rigour.

I partecipanti al contest Lumière dovevano scrivere dei testi che interpretassero in chiave narrativa le caratteristiche tipiche dei primissimi filmati girati dai fratelli Lumiere (ovvero essere girati con cinepresa fissa e un solo punto di vista; non prevedere alcuna forma di montaggio; avere durata massima di un minuto). Credo possa essere utile inserire un piccolo riquadro con la spiegazione delle regole di gara.
E. B. In questo racconto ho deciso di narrare la storia di ciò che il protagonista vede
dall’ascensore prima di andare a lavoro. Il punto di vista del protagonista è fisso, proprio
come quello della cinepresa nei primi filmati dei fratelli Lumière. Mentre lui è fermo vede la
vita quotidiana scorrere davanti a sé. A. C. L. In questo racconto ho descritto ľambiente, ľacqua e le piccole cose che succedevano mentre
fissavo una fontana, ma dietro tutto ciò si nascondevano pensieri, ricordi e problemi ancora
non risolti.

I Welcome to Ghost Stories — a collection born from the vivid imaginations of the students of Class 2H at ISA 4 Middle School in La Spezia. These are more than simple tales of shadows and mystery: they are the fruit of curiosity, creativity, and the courage it takes to stare into the dark and give shape to what lurks there.
Each student wrote and illustrated their own story, transforming words and images into small worlds of their own. Flip through these pages and you will find not only stories to read, but visions to see. Some tales will make you smile; others might make you want to sleep with the lights on.
