1. Unboxing

a. Safety Notice:

  • This unit is heavy and should be unboxed by two people. Do not attempt to lift or remove the unit alone. Having a second person helps prevent injury and accidental damage.

What you will need:

  • 1 × Standard or Power Screwdriver
  • 1x Scissors

b. Remove all 12 screws.

c. Remove the top part

Save the top part, as it will be used as a ramp.

d. Cut the banding strap and remove protective wrapping (plastic wrap, cardboard, and foam)

e. Prepare to roll machine off base

  1. Position the protective ramp facing the front of the unit (drawer side).
  2. Lift the metal grills and remove them.
  3. Pull out the handles and rotate them clockwise to lock them into position.
  4. Using the handles, lift the unit and remove all four protective foam blocks.

g. Place water hose into drain or sink

The water hose is located behind the unit, at the bottom-left corner.

2. User Setup

a. Plug into electrical outlet

Cut the tie holding the power cord to the unit then plug into the electrical outlet.

b. Turn power switch on (power on)

The machine’s power switch is located on the top right corner at the back of the machine.

c. Connect to Wi-Fi and update now, or continue without updating.

a. What you will need:

  • 1. Wi-Fi login credentials
  • 2. FoodCycler App
  • 3. FoodCycler App login credentials (Create account via email sent from FoodCylcer)

b. Put machine in set up mode

On initial power-up, the firmware version screen appears on both drawers for 5–10 seconds.

Press the left physical button (not the screen) on both drawers to select ‘YES’ This allows the FC-75 to check for updates automatically.

c. Install and Sign In to the App

  1. After selecting YES, the screen updates to display a QR code to download the app.
  2. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi icons appear in the top-left corner. The Bluetooth icon indicates that the drawer is ready to pair with an account.

Download the FoodCycler App to continue.

Sign in to the app using the credentials you created via the email you received from FoodCycler Commercial.

Once logged in, open the app menu and navigate to Add New Device.

Enter the device serial number if it is not already populated, assign a device name, and select the FC-75 install location from the dropdown menu.

The device serial number is located behind the metal grille on the frame, at the top-left corner of the unit.

e. Identify Drawers

Confirm each drawer ID listed in the app matches the corresponding drawer ID on the FC-75 drawer screen. Then click Continue.

f. Connect to Wi-Fi and enter the network password.

Next, you’ll be prompted to connect to Wi-Fi. You can select the same network used by your mobile device or enter a network manually, then input the password.

g. Connection process and software update

Once connected to the Wifi the connection process will display in the app and on the FC-75 screens. The process may take up to 10 minutes.

The update is complete, and the machine is ready to use once you have confirmed it is connected in the app and the FC-75 screen says ‘Ready.’

h. Completed set up

If the machine has been connected successfully, the screen will say ‘Ready,’ and there will be a ‘transmit’ icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

Congratulations! Your unit is now connected and ready.

  • Do not fill past the indicated line.

If the by-product is stuck, reinsert the bucket and turn on the FC-75. The grinding will help dislodge it for collection.
