MY UNCLE LOOKED ME IN THE EYE

My uncle looked me in the eye about an hour ago, he said, “There are some things I think that you had better know – do not throw bricks at bumblebees or grab a grizzly bear, and never tug a tiger’s tail or pull a panther’s hair. “Don't wrestle with a rattlesnake or ask a skunk to fight, don’t irritate an elephant or tempt a lion to bite, don’t scuffle with a buffalo or tease electric eels, don’t interrupt piranhas at their underwater meals.

“Don’t tickle a gorilla or invite a shark to smile, don’t hug a hippopotamus or kiss a crocodile, don’t ridicule a rhino or provoke a porcupine.” I’ve followed his advice so far, and I am doing fine.

A) Why does the uncle sound so serious when he gives his advice?

Reveal Explainer

I notice the uncle lists lots of animals, such as “a grizzly bear”, “a rattlesnake” and “piranhas”. I know these animals are dangerous and could hurt someone, and from this I can infer that the uncle is being serious because he wants to make sure the child understands the dangers.
