Art Education for Primary School Children through Minecraft Education

MINEART is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in School Education (KA220-SCH) that introduces an innovative approach to art education by combining cultural heritage, digital learning, and game-based methodologies.

The project uses Minecraft Education as a creative learning environment, allowing primary school students to explore European art, history, and shared values in an interactive and immersive way. By transforming traditional art education into a participatory experience, MINEART places creativity, inclusion, and engagement at the core of learning.

MINEART is implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, supporting European cooperation in school education. The project aligns with key Erasmus+ priorities by promoting creativity, digital competences, inclusion, and active citizenship.

Through cross-country collaboration, MINEART brings together educators, cultural experts, and digital specialists to design tools that respond to contemporary educational needs.

Why MINEART?

The Educational Need

Limited engagement with traditional art education

Art education often struggles to connect with students' everyday digital reality.

Lack of interactive digital tools

Traditional methods need modernisation to meet contemporary learning needs.

Need for inclusive and student-centred learning

Diverse learning needs require flexible, adaptable approaches.

MINEART was developed to bridge this gap by introducing playful, immersive, and experiential learning methods.

By embedding art education within a familiar digital environment, the project enhances motivation, participation, and deeper understanding, especially for younger learners and students with diverse learning needs.
