Se distinguen en dos series, TCD4 y TCD8.
Pueden ser liberadores de inmunoglobulinas.
Actúan en la respuesta inmunitaria innata.

Los eritrocitos:
Junto con los linfocitos, pertenecen a la estirpe mieloide.
Son de la misma estirpe celular que los macrófagos y los basófilos.
Pertenecen a la estirpe leucocitaria.

Los linfocitos T:
Se activan cuando el linfocito B presenta el antígeno al receptor T (TCR) y al receptor CD.
Maduran en la médula ósea.
Se activan cuando el receptor T (TCR) es activado por los linfocitos B.

Los linfocitos B:
Son células plasmáticas.
Son los linfocitos cooperadores.
Al activarse, son capaces de liberar inmunoglobulinas.

Los monocitos:
Son granulocitos que dan origen a los macrófagos.
Aparecen en la sangre.
Son agranulocitos que dan origen a los megacariocitos.
