CHAPTER ONE: CELL TRANSPORT

A CELL TRANSPORT ADVENTURE

November 6th, 1983

Hawkins, Indiana

It’s 1983 in small-town America. You’re 12 years old and like to play Dungeons & Dragons with your 3 best friends. The day after an epic D&D campaign, you find out that your friend Will disappeared overnight. A city-wide search turns up his bike, but not Will. Mount up. You and your friends are going to find Will on your own. Because it’s the 80s, dude, and you don’t need parental supervision.

CONTINUE

You head out into the night. Your first stop is to Castle Byers, Will’s hideout where he draws and reads comic books. He isn’t there, but someone is. It’s a girl you’ve never seen before. She’s scared, her head’s shaved, and she looks lost. She’s upset by your sudden appearance. A supernatural wind blows, making the pages from Will’s comic books come loose and whip around the fort. Put each of the pages in the correct stack in order to calm the girl with a drop of blood suspended from her nose.

Phew. Your quick thinking soothed the strange girl. You tell her you come in peace and ask her for her name. She shows you a tattoo on her arm. It says, “011.” You aren’t sure what kind of name that is, but taking all that’s happened into account, her name isn’t the strangest thing about her. Eleven motions to follow her out of Castle Byers. You tell her you’d like to help her, but that you can’t right then because you are searching for Will. Eleven points at one of Will’s drawings and gestures for you to follow her. It seems she knows where Will is!

CONTINUE

You follow Eleven to the base of a tree, where you find a strange portal. She motions for you to follow her in. Is she crazy?!?!! Seeing the terror on your face, she struggles to say a single word: "Will." She continually points at the portal while saying Will's name. This must be where Will has gone. Reluctantly, you follow Eleven through the portal.

Find Will's Location and Escape

You have entered a strange, terrifying version of the forest you just left. Eleven leads you to another tree. A map has been etched into the bark. Under the map are three words: "Find the coordinates." You have no idea what the coordinates are, but you hope exploring these locations will help you find them and eventually lead you to Will!

Once you have the coordinates, enter them here.

The Monster

You and Eleven stumble and fall backward in fright as a tall, slimy creature with an unattractive flowerhead filled to the brim with sharp teeth jumps out from behind a tree. It's the Demogorgon!!!! It's time for the final battle. What do you choose to do?

A whole bunch of Cytolysis

You've done your best to escape, but it wasn't enough. The Demogorgon has cornered you in a science lab. It looks like this is the end.

...but maybe not. Eleven lets out a roar of anger. She's had enough of this. She musters up all the strength she can gather and gets herself prepared for the nosebleed of a lifetime.

YOU WIN!!!!

...and then...

CONTINUE

Congrats! You beat the Demogorgon and helped save Will from the Upside Down. Everyone is happy. Even Will, who definitely isn’t still tied to the Upside Down in a way that will jeopardize everyone’s safety in the future.
