Concept Statement
The intention of this work
Within the Silence explores photography as a space of pause, contemplation and subtle observation. The project focuses on how light, movement, depth and composition can create images that feel somehow quiet, intimate and reflective rather than expressive or loud. Life can many times be chaotic and stimulating wich is not bad but a person needs to step back sometimes and contemplate peace. For me at first that peace was only found in Vigo, where my family lives but little by little I started to apretiate little details in the chaos and found silence and peace in deatails. In this portfolio we will see difference of the pictures i have been taken in Madrid and the ones i took in my christmas vacations in Vigo taking a moment to step back and contemplate life.
Movement in Photography
Movement in photography allows the image to suggest time, rhythm and action. It can be captured in different ways depending on shutter speed, camera motion and the subject’s movement.
Movement in Photography example
Captured movement freezes an action at a specific moment in time, revealing details that are often invisible to the human eye. It is achieved through fast shutter speeds and controlled lightning. In the image we can feel contrast from the pictures with movement seen before, the cool tones of the sky and the beach of Vigo give a calm perception for the viewer.
Frozen Movement
Frozen movement completely stops motion, creating a sense of stillness and control. Despite involving action, the result often feels calm and suspended in time.
Panning Shot
A panning shot is created by moving the camera along with a moving subject during exposure. Visual result: Subject appears relatively sharp Background becomes blurred Strong sensation of speed and direction
Dept of field
Depth of field refers to the area of an image that appears sharp and in focus. It is influenced by: Aperture size Distance from the subject Focal lengthSubject appears relatively sharp Background becomes blurred Strong sensation of speed and direction This image taken in O castro natural park where i go for a walk with my parents to represents with the candle (being the subject) is the main character next to the rock blurring the rest of the image in honor to see the Dept of field.
Foreground
The foreground is the part of the image closest to the camera. It is used to: Create visual layers Add depth Guide the viewer into the photographAperture size Distance from the subject Focal lengthSubject appears relatively sharp Background becomes blurred Strong sensation of speed and direction In this image the foreground would be the fotografer, blurred when the main subject (me) is focused.
The middle ground
The middle ground usually contains the main subject of the image. It is where: The visual focus is placed The narrative develops This plane holds the central meaning of the photograph. In this image the subject takes the main attention it is where all the action of the picture is taken (in this case it is me standing in a oor for the outfit to take protagonism)
The back ground
The background provides context and atmosphere. A successful background: Supports the subject Does not distract Enhances the overall mood The background in this picture would be the white building wich gives the image certain serenity with the cream colors, in match with the outfit
All planes focused
When foreground, middle ground and background are all in focus, the image feels balanced and descriptive. This approach is common in: Landscape photography Architectural photography Documentary styles All planes focused give a sense of realism Spatial clarity Visual calm and order,
Reflection in photography
Reflections introduce a second layer of reality within the image. They can appear in: Mirrors Glass Water surfaces And they offer: Duality Introspection Silence and contemplation
Light and shooting angle
The importance of light
Light defines shape, texture and mood. Without light, there is no image. On one hand natural light: Its direction and quality completely change the emotional tone of a photograph. Natural light is soft, variable and organic. It allows:Subtle shadowsSmooth transitionsA calm and realistic atmosphere
Shooting Angle
The shooting angle affects how the subject is perceived. Types include: Eye-level High angle Low angle Each one communicates a different emotional message. The image given is a picture s¡taken from a high angle giving an effect of making the subject look small contrasted by how big her ego looks trough fashion.

Narrative concept
The photo essay explores:Stillness Space Silence The relationship between humans and their environment The series is unified through: Similar lightingCoherent color palette Repeated visual elements Calm pacing
Narrative concept
Within the Silence is conceived as a visual campaign that invites pause. In a constant flow of images and noise, this project proposes the opposite: to stop, to observe, to feel. The campaign is built around quiet scenes, soft light and restrained movement. There is no urgency, no spectacle. Only moments that breathe. Each image works as a fragment of a larger emotional state, connected by atmosphere rather than narrative. Together, they form a campaign that does not try to persuade, but to resonate. Within the Silence is not about what is shown, but about what is felt in between. The series is unified through:Similar lightingCoherent color palette Repeated visual elements Calm pacing
