  • When she became a parent she would tell stories about her childhood, which led to her book, "All-of-A-Kind-Family."
  • "All-of-A-Kind-Family" was published in 1951 and was one of the first books to show Jewish American identity.

  • Michael came from Middlesex, England and has written over 140 books
  • Michael said, "I see myself as a poet and performer who has absorbed many traditions, one of which is 'aggadic' that of Jewish story telling". Michael performes many of his books as a attribution to Jewish heritage
