What is it?
Inside The Team used to be known as Day-In-The-Life-Of, or DITLO. Whilst the concept is still the same, this renewed focus and rebrand is to ensure we are getting the most out of our time. This is to avoid sitting next to someone for a few hours or a day, passively watching them work. Inside The Team will allow you to learn more about another team, business area or role by shadowing your colleagues.
Getting the most from your session
Preparation is vital! Think about what you want to get from the time you spend with the other team. Here are some questions you may want to consider asking on the day:
- What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
- How does work come into your team?
- What systems do you use?
- What skills or qualifications do you need?
- How do you plan your working day?
- What systems do you use?
