My teacher statement
Norah Hervás Aspa, 2026
To me, teaching is much more than just imparting knowledge; it's about fostering a supportive environment where each student feels appreciated, respected, and free to express themselves. I think that encouraging curiosity and a sincere love of learning that transcends the classroom is the most crucial aspect of school. Regardless of a student's origin or skill level, education should be a potent weapon for equality and personal development. As a teacher, I try to teach my pupils the virtues of empathy and respect for others as well as for themselves. I tell them that overcoming obstacles requires tenacity and self-confidence, and I promote teamwork and mutual support. Above all, I wish to foster equality because it is the cornerstone of peaceful cooperation and group development.
My approach to teaching is close-knit and adaptable, always adjusting to each student's unique needs. I make learning fun and meaningful by utilising play and creativity as effective methods. My method places a strong emphasis on teamwork and participation, and I'm determined to pay close attention to everyone's opinions in the classroom.I consider myself to be a facilitator and guide in the classroom, supporting each student on their individual learning path. I want to be a dependable person who offers emotional and academic assistance while setting an example of tolerance, decency, and unwavering drive.
My objectives are to give my pupils the self-assurance to express themselves and to see mistakes as teaching moments. In order to help children become inclusive, critical, and open-minded people who are equipped to navigate the world with empathy and understanding, I want to encourage the development of social and emotional skills that will benefit them throughout their life.
