My Dinosaur, Dining
My dinosaur, dining, was such a disgrace,
he loved nothing better than stuffing his face,
he’d guzzle and gobble and swiftly dispatch
as much as he could down his gigantic hatch.
My dinosaur, dining, was most impolite,
to see how he feasted was no pretty sight,
he’d polish off meals and would eat like a horse,
demolish course after course after course.
From: Midnight Feasts chosen by A.F. Harrold © 2019. Licensed under CLA. Do not copy or share.
My dinosaur, dining, was ever so rude, his manners were awful, his etiquette crude,
he’d never eat slowly, he’d overindulge,
he’d cram and he’d jam ‘til his belly would bulge.
My dinosaur’s vanished - my mother got tough,
she said he was banished - enough was enough!
I dine with a brother now much less refined…
I really do miss how my dinosaur dined.
