MISSION 4: The Living musical city

CEIP Plurilingüe de Sigüeiro - Galicia, Spain

"O Son do Ar" by Galician Celtic band "Luar na Lubre" as well as Paul Klee "Castle and Sun" inspired our musical city. We used wooden blocks to build and draw the buildings. Music made us relax and focus on the paper and the multiple ways of combining shapes to create a structure. We enjoyed it so much! Would you like to live in our city?

C.P. Los Pericones, Gijón (Asturias-Spain)
5th graders - Teacher Tatiana
This is a famous place in our city: San Lorenzo´s beach. Here you can see the tall buildings along the promenade. You can go down the beach steps for a refreshing dip or sunbathing. Would you like to come for a walk and swim in the sea? Our city comes alive with the Asturias anthem. Listen to it!
Look at our neighborhood

Vedere il quartiere, Pierangelo Bertoli

"Vedere il quartiere" (Look at our neighborhood) by Pierangelo Bertoli is an old pop song. The singer sais thet the city is "thousand identical boxes", but the people who live there are full of life. In the boxes of the "castle and sun" by Paul Klee, we entered symbols of places we like in our city.
