🌍 UK vs US UK: travel → travelled US: travel → traveled
❌ Do NOT double when: There are two vowels (need → needed) The stress is not on the last syllable (open → opened) → And: The verb ends in consonants+y → i+ed (study →studied)
It is used for actions that began and ended at time in the past, whether they were a specific moment (yesterday) or regular (every Sunday).
