France Map
France is divided in different regions. Each region has different landscapes and climates. Because of this, the fauna and flora varies from a region to another. For example, some animals and plants which live better in the cold are not present in the south. This diversity makes France rich in wildlife.
Northern France (Normandy, Hauts-de-France)
Climate: Cool, wet
Central France (Massif Central & surrounding areas)
Climate: Continental, cooler winters
Eastern France (Alps, Jura, Grand Est)

Ile-De-France Map

Flora
France has a very diverse flora because of its different climates and landscapes. In the north and west, we can find forests and many types of plants that grow in humid weather. In the south, the flora is more Mediterranean, with palm trees, olive trees and lavender. In the mountains there are pine trees and alpine flowers.
Fauna
France has also many farm animals like horses, cows and sheeps, living in countryside and fields. They are important in the rural and agricultural part of France.
France has several wild animal species, especially in mountains, such as bears, deers and foxes. They are well adapted to cold environnements.
France has many bird species. They live in forests, mountains, cities and near the sea. Birds are an important part of French wildlife
Conclusion:
In conclusion, France has a very rich and diverse fauna and flora, thanks to its different climates and landscapes. From the Atlantic coast to forests, mountains, and seas, plants and animals live in fragile ecosystems that are closely connected. However, human activities and climate change threaten this biodiversity. Protecting fauna and flora is essential, not only to preserve nature, but also to protect our future.”
