By 2025, it is estimated that the city of Albacete has around 175,400 inhabitants, according to INE data and projections, being one of the most populous capitals of Castilla-La Mancha, although the most recent official figure from the INE dates from 2024 with 174,137 people, and the province exceeds 390,000, with upward trends.

Climate

Albacete has a continental Mediterranean climate with extreme temperatures. In winter, averages are around 5-6°C with freezing nights, while in summer highs usually exceed 30-35°C. January is the coldest month (minimums averaging 1°C) and July/August the hottest, registering records above 40°C.
