How were they used?
-forced to build tipees outside vacational places -selling their lands (chief white calf) -promotional pictures -the lame bull treaty and reserve in 1855 -stereotypes and visibility -erased from history
If early-20th-century policies tended to push Native people out of parks, 21st‑century practice is slowly, imperfectly, bending the other way. In Glacier, that shift is visible in at least three places:
