Diary of a Set Designer
Monday: Today we have started designing how the costumes are going to be for the show. We read the script and talked about each character and their clothes. Tuesday: This morning I received a message saying that the company that was going to send the clothes has no stock. It was a problem because we don’t have much time. We spent all the morning looking for a new company. Wednesday: Last night, we made an express order for the main character’s costume because there are the most important one. This morning, we made another order for the rest of the costumes.

Diary of a Set Designer
Thursday: Today I´m so happy because I have received the costumes. So before lunch, I will go to the theatre that is in Gran Vía and the actors will try on the costumes to see if the size is okay. Friday: Today I have a lot of work to do because we had to fix 6 out of 10 costumes before 6 p.m. We corrected small problems like buttons, lengths, and accessories. We were very busy all day.
6:00 pm — I have just arrived at the theatre and gave each costume to each actor. Everything is ready now for tomorrow. Saturday: Today is the big day! We are very nervous and excited. The musical starts at 4 o’clock, so in the morning we finished the last details. Sunday: Today is my day off. After a very busy week, I will relax and disconnect.
