Let's look again at The Lost Book of Adventure and, after listening to the extract, identify and discuss the equipment mentioned.
On one adventure, a backpack full of provisions and kit was lost down the rapids when our canoe capsized. All that remained were hammocks, water bottles, a few clothes, a machete and a first aid kit. This was the moment to set up a survival base camp and take stock.
