Future Economists
Future Economists is an international eTwinning project that aims to develop financial literacy awareness among preschool children. Through fun and play-based activities, students learn about the value of money, saving, budgeting, and responsible consumption. The project helps them build a strong foundation to become conscious and responsible individuals who can make wise financial decisions in the future
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project is directly connected to eTwinning’s 2025/2026 annual theme, “Life Skills.” As an essential part of everyday life, financial literacy is one of the most important life skills that children need both now and in the future.Through this project, students will not only learn to understand the value of money, budgeting, saving, and responsible consumption, but they will also develop broader life skills such as mathematical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and citizenship awareness.In addition, the use of digital tools and creative activities will strengthen children’s literacy and digital competences, ensuring that the project contributes directly to the European Commission’s “Key Competences Action Plan” with concrete and practical applications.In this way, the project goes beyond teaching financial concepts—it aims to equip children with essential skills they will use throughout their lives.

What is Netiquette?Netiquette is a combination of the words net (internet) and etiquette (etiquette). In other words, netiquette describes the rules of conduct necessary for respectful and appropriate online communication.Netiquette is often referred to as internet etiquette. These are not legally binding rules, but rather recommended etiquette. Netiquette is most often used when communicating with unknown people online. Netiquette rules depend on the platform and its users. Generally, it is up to the operator of the website or communication application to determine the type and extent of netiquette. It is their responsibility to monitor compliance with these basic rules and penalize violations.

All members integrated the activities into Curriculum Integration in accordance with their country's study guide.
Sharing Piggy Bank – Social Responsibility Activity
Τhrough a series of process photos, we document the transition from saving to giving: how the money collected in the 'Share' piggy banks reached its destination. Whether supporting a social organization or enriching a local institution, these images showcase our students' commitment to helping others, serving as a meaningful record of how small contributions can lead to significant social impact.
Task Sharing & Collaboration: A Balanced Approach
The allocation of project tasks was organized through a transparent and collaborative process using the Canvas application. Both founders and members actively participated in defining and assigning roles, ensuring a fair distribution of responsibilities. By matching specific tasks to the unique skills and expertise of each partner, we created a functional team environment. This personalized approach allowed every member to contribute effectively, ensuring that the project’s workload was shared equitably and professionally.

To ensure the effective implementation and quality of our activities, a structured evaluation process was followed. Questionnaires were distributed to participants at the beginning of the project to assess initial needs and at the end to evaluate the overall impact. Additionally, targeted surveys were prepared and shared whenever necessary throughout the project's duration to gather feedback and make real-time improvements. This data-driven approach allowed us to monitor our progress and ensure that our objectives were met successfully.

Our students used the Mentimeter tool to create a collaborative word cloud as an interactive and enjoyable way to share their thoughts and ideas. This activity allowed each student to express their own opinions while visually highlighting common ideas and key concepts through the word cloud. The process increased student engagement and supported the meaningful and creative use of digital tools.
