Flo joined Midnight in 2013 and bought the agency through a Management Buy-Out (MBO) in 2018 alongside business partner Alex Hankinson. Flo's leadership extends to several of the agency’s award-winning regional and national B2B campaigns in the professional services, built environment, workplace and community sectors. Her previous career was in travel and tourism, where she was the former Executive Director the Tourism Society and the Director of the Association of Cruise Experts (now CLIA UK). Flo was named as one of the top 100 most influential women in the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel & Tourism Industries by Women 1st.

Joint MD of Midnight

Alex has led B2B PR strategy at Midnight since 2010 and bought the agency alongside business partner Flo in Jan 2018. With more than 20 years’ experience as a strategic PR consultant, Alex heads up several key accounts at the agency.Alex has led several multi-award-winning campaigns, including best Corporate and Business Campaign for Eurest, best B2B campaign for Crown Worldwide, Best use of Social Media, Best Community Engagement Campaign, Best Social Strategy and Best PR Event or Stunt for Sky Sports Living for Sport (that campaign scooped 14 awards in total!).

ALEX HANKINSON

Retired Police Detective

Amanda’s career is marked by courage, leadership, and service. After excelling at Harper Green Secondary School—becoming the only woman to win both the British Junior and All England course fishing championships—she moved to London at 18 to forge her own path. She began in advertising before joining the Metropolitan Police in 1991, rising to Detective and serving in the Murder Squad and Counter Terrorism Command, including international work in Nigeria. She later held senior roles supporting national security and major organisational change. Since retiring in 2020, she has focused on charity, travel, and raising awareness of genetic heart conditions following her appearance on The Traitors.

CEO & Principal at Nescot

Julie is CEO & Principal at Nescot – a further and higher education college based in Epsom in Surrey which supports around 6,000 students each year. Under Julie’s leadership, the college has spearheaded a range of employer partnerships to support priority sectors including travel & tourism, construction and hair & beauty. Julie has a background in PR and economic development and served as an advisor to the UK Government’s task force on Women’s Enterprise and the Rose Review of female Entrepreneurship. Julie is a former Chair of Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership and Chichester Chamber of Commerce. Julie has a particular interest in the role that Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality can play in widening participation in education and she serves on the Strategy Board of AI in Education. In her spare time, she enjoys watching sport and is proud to be on the Committee of Epsom Downs Racecourse. Julie was awarded an MBE in the King's 2026 New Year's Honours list for services to economic development.
