Julia & Matthew
Julia and Matthew were rejected by parents. Only given bare minimum in order to survive. Asma-Mother: Only provided physical support, i.e feeding, clothin, bathing up until 7. Father- saji- Only financially provided for the household, spent long hours away and when home went straight to watching tv or sleeping. This led to... Julia and Matthew being unnaturally close, to the point they had seperation anxiety toward each other. They even stayed in the same friendgroups, played the same sports and went to the same after school clubs, they subconciously avoided going home therefore were always out together even as young children
Matthew and Julias teenhood was extremely impactful; for all the wrong reasons. Between the ages of 13-19 they did illegal substances, which contributed to Matthews addiction and struggle with sobriety later on. They were still in the same friend groups, only now they only hung around bad influences. During this time Matthew begun his issues with his romantic relations and avoidment issues. Similarly Julia only dated men who were years older than her.

Matthew grew up to be a serial dater. Each relationship he eventually found unfulfilling and quickly moved on. Due to his severe trust issues of being abandoned and neglected he treated each relationship as if it was worthless. In relationships he portrayed emotional unavailability. Furthermore, he never settled down and allowed susbtance abuse to dictate the direction of his life which contributed negatively to his mental health.
Julia:
Julia portrayed disorganized attatachment to her partners. Shes only ever been in three serious relationships, each one severely older than her. In her relationships, if they were healthy or secure, she become emotionally detached; however, if they were toxic and avoidant themself, she portrayed anxious attachment styles indicating her attachment issues. Furthermore, she got married to a man 20 years older than her and is currently last seen as pregnant.
Where are they now?...
Matthew & Julia
Matthews bond with his sister weakened after she married and sought attention and affection from her husband. He seemed relatively happy; despite still having short, 'fun' relationships, he found a steady nightshift job at a warehouse which provided him with indepence. To console himself over the loss of his sister emotionally, he strictly focused on work and dated even more women, some even at the same time. Meanwhile, Julia was under the guise that she was truly at bliss in her new abprupt marriage. She had only married due to an unwanted pregnancy. Her relationship with her husbands family was strained as he has a daughter from a former marriage who was one year older than julia. Most people in his family were not supportive of their relationship. However her parents didn't care as long as she had a roof over her head and wasn't their problem.

However, Matthew was quietly struggling.
Having nobody to turn to in times of need and struggling with feelings of low self-esteem, he depended on substances such as hardcore drugs to get through his nightshifts and mask his pain. He even appeared to be on decent terms with his parents and maintained slight communication with Julia.
One day, under the influence he drove up to his favourite spot where he usually sought solace and quiet. Due to his vulnerable mental state, he fell off the edge of the cliff.
How our relationship affected our children
Asma & Saji
- As a father saji was emotionally uninvested, only provided financial support and technical support.
- Meanwhile Asma was only physically there to sustain them up until 7, the children became independent prematurely
- This was caused by our strained relationship with each other, we married out of obligation, due to pregnancy; This led to hidden resentment between us which reflected its way onto our own children and their lives.
