Fundings
Would you donate?
- A budget of €17 million raised entirely by popular donations from around the world
- Exclusively financed by popular fundraising through a global campaign of private donations. No public (municipal) or Church (diocese) subsidies are contemplated, only private capital
- 10% - 60% destined to promote the love of Jesus to the most needy through collaboration with concrete works of mercy
- If it is the donor's will, the €5 or more on the surface of the large golden heart. We want to make real the promise that the Heart of Jesus made to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque: "the people who propagate this devotion will have their name written in my Heart and it will never be erased from it"
PHASE 1 Preliminary sculptural and architectural project / Start of the communication and crowdfunding campaign
The Heart
The centre of the Monument
Every morning, when the first rays of sunlight pierce the wound on his side and illuminate his golden Heart, it will slowly descend to the earth by means of a pulley mechanism so that everyone can come close to touch and adore it during the day.
At nightfall, when the last ray of light is gone, the Heart will slowly return to its anatomical position. Then it will backlight and light up the night through the holes of passion like a constellation of stars.
The Tabernacle
Heart of Jesus
A large tabernacle heart of 2.5 meters in diameter for an immersive and sensory experience inside the Monument
This sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, by artist Javier Viver, is a delicate and meaningful elaborate piece, symbol of divine love
Experience
We will taste the bread of his Eucharistic body as the Virgin Mary did. We will contemplate in his gaze the golden light of his heart.
Inside we will hear the slowed heartbeat of Jesus as John did when he laid his head on his chest
We will feel his pulse as Thomas did when he put his fingers in his wound
To sum up
A monument as a symbol of hope and unity
Erecting a large monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Madrid is not a luxury or an ornamental gesture, but a courageous invitation to hope in a time marked by disenchantment and polarization. In an accelerated and divided society, this heart - wounded, open and burning - wants to be a beacon of reconciliation, a symbol of the love that unites, forgives and always waits.
This statue does not seek to impose itself or to point fingers, but to welcome with open arms, reminding us that there is a heart stronger than our differences. For the believer, it is a visible sign of Christ's redeeming love; for the non-believer, a poetic provocation, a question mark of stone and light that opens the door to mystery
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest
Matthew 11:28

Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you." Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe." Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed." John 20: 26-29
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do not believe. I am the bread of life". John 6: 35-36. 48
Peter turned and saw the disciple following whom Jesus loved, the one who had also reclined upon his chest during the supper and had said, "Master, who is the one who will betray you?" John 21:20
