I.Determinants
Which do i use?
Determinants come before a noun. In french, there are plenty. But how do i know which one is correct? It all depends on the rest of the sentence. In this lesson, we'll talk about "articles définis"(le, la, l', les) and "articles indéfinis"(un, une, des). We say it's "défini" when you're talking about something that has be defined. On the other hand, it's "indéfini" thas is not defined.
-LA/LE
-UN/UNE
-LES/DES
-LA table de mon père et LE tapis de ma mère (The table (feminine) of dad and the rug (masculine) of my mom)
-Il y a un sac à coté d'une petite fille(There's a bag next to a little girl)
-LES pommes de mon jardin sont bonnes (the apples of my garden are good)
-La chienne de mon mari aime jouer avec le chat de mon frère (The (female) dog of my husband likes to play with my brother's cat)
-J'ai mangé une orange et un kiwi (I ate an orange and a kiwi)
-J'ai vu DES enfants au park (I saw kids at the parl)
