Withdrawing a published dataset from dissemination

Do you have the rights?
It is not possible to remove a dataset if it has already been published. The curator can however withdraw the dataset (or a version) from dissemination.

If you are not the curator of your dataset, you can request a withdrawal from the curator via the “Contact” button.

Step 1: After selecting your dataset, click on “Edit Dataset” menu.
Step 2: Click on “Deaccession Dataset”.

Step 3: when requesting a withdrawal, you must fill in a form indicating the version(s) to withdraw and explain the reasons.
What is the reason for deaccession?
If you select “Other”, you must fill in the text box below.
Click on “Deaccession”.

A pop-up window will appear with the following message:
The withdrawal is effective. The dataset is then in a deaccessioned version. From now on, the DOI links to a page of this type:
Please note that the citation metadata and the dataset contact remain accessible even when the data is no longer accessible!

If you are not the curator of your dataset, you can request a withdrawal via the “Contact” button.
You must indicate that this is a request to withdraw a dataset and explain the reasons for the request, specifying which version(s) are concerned.

Si vous n’êtes pas curateur, vus pouvez faire la demande de retrait au curateur via le bouton « Contact ».
After validation by the curator, the DOI will point to a page indicating that the dataset (or the version concerned) has been deaccessioned.
Please note that the citation metadata and the dataset contact remain accessible even when the data is no longer accessible!
