Creato nel 1942, il campo di Fossoli fu utilizzato prima per imprigionare i soldati nemici degli italiani, poi servì come campo di concentramento per gli ebrei.Dopo l'occupazione nazista, il campo divenne un campo di transito, per separare gli ebrei tra i diversi campi. Oggi il campo serve a ricordare i caduti in guerra e permette ai giovani di imparare qualcosa in più sulla guerra e sulle cose che accaddero durante essa.

Il 19 luglio 1943 ebbe luogo a Roma, nel quartiere San Lorenzo, il primo bombardamento aereo in Italia. Effettuato da bombardieri americani della Royal Air Force, il bilancio fu pesantissimo: 1.700 morti e alcuni feriti.

Dal 1943 al 1945, la Stazione Centrale di Milano accolse migliaia di ebrei italiani, che furono poi deportati in vari campi di concentramento e sterminio. Il famigerato "Binario 21" è ben noto a Milano in relazione a queste deportazioni.
Oggi, La stazione è un memoriale, offrendo un luogo vivo di memoria per tutti. Conferenze, mostre e visite guidate sono aperte a tutti, e in particolare ai giovani, per mantenere vivo il ricordo di coloro che sono scomparsi.
La casa rossa di Alberobello
La casa rossa di Alberobello, Costruita nel XIX (19) secolo come scuola agricola, Casa Rossa divenne un campo di transito e internamento per il governo italiano allo scoppio della guerra. A causa del suo isolamento e della facilità di sorveglianza, vi furono deportati cittadini provenienti da Regno Unito, Irlanda e Jugoslavia, insieme a molti ebrei italiani. Casa Rossa rimase un luogo di detenzione per lungo tempo dopo la guerra. Oggi, Casa Rossa è un memoriale dell'Olocausto, che lotta contro la deportazione, la discriminazione e la guerra.
Campo di transitito di Bolzano
Il campo di transitito di Bolzano fu istituito nel 1942 come campo di concentramento per prigionieri alleati e, dall'8 settembre 1943, divenne un campo di concentramento nazista per gli oppositori del regime, tra cui ebrei, rom e testimoni di Geova. Gli oppositori furono divisi in due gruppi: un gruppo fu inviato nei campi di sterminio e l'altro fu costretto a svolgere lavori forzati all'interno del campo. Oggi, solo una parte del muro di cinta rimane, poiché il campo fu smantellato all'arrivo degli Alleati. Vi sono collocate targhe commemorative.
Mausoleo fosse ardeatine a ROMA
Il 23 marzo 1944, I partigiani italiani uccisero 33 nazisti. per rappresaglia, 355 Italiani (tra cui 75 ebrei) furono fucilati dai nazisti nelle cave (che sono dei carreri sotteranei) abbandonate nella via Ardeatina, a Roma. Oggi, le cave sono un Mausoleo commemorativo e un Museo visitabili tutti i giorni anche in maniera guidata.
