Digital tools are very useful for our daily life, but they can also be very dangerous for the harmonious development of your child. Before starting school and throughout your child's schooling, your role is very important. At Monthey primary schools, a digital pedagogical coordinator will start in June to carry out prevention activities related to digital technology in the classrooms. She will also be available to families to provide advice. Her contact details will be available on our website soon. Additionally, she will regularly update a website dedicated solely to this topic.

Contact us

Your main point of contact will mostly be your child's teacher. Each teacher will provide you at the start of the school year with the procedures to contact them and, when necessary, to make an appointment.  For more general questions or related matters, our secretariat can be reached at the following contact details:  Primary Schools Secretariat College of Europe Avenue de l'Europe 30, 1870 Monthey 024 475 79 30 secp.monthey@edu.vs.ch Hours: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:15 pm - 5:00 pm We are also present online, both to inform you and to showcase the life of our school:

In case of question or disagreement, request an appointment. Avoid certain family discussions, some inappropriate Facebook posts... Your child's teacher is your first point of contact.

Bonus tips!

To reassure your child, you can tell them: The teacher loves children, it’s a bit like a mum! “Mum takes you to school but will come back to pick you up later! ” “If your mum isn’t here, the teacher stays with you and calls… ” Reassure the child by telling them what mum and dad do while they are at school tell them they can talk about what they did, that the parents are happy to know…

Punctuality is paramount. Any arrival after the first ring (-5 min) is considered late. Thank you for your cooperation.

Respect for the school, its rules, and our experience. Even if some things may seem rigid, we have given them meaning, for the good of your child.

School is a general education that develops many skills. Your child will need your support.
