Mischief and Beans

Be warned: today I feel strong and agile. If there’s a gong or a badge, I’ll win it. Run half a mile in a minute. Show me a mountain, for example, and while others scramble, slip and flop, watch me whoosh straight to the top. I have so much energy I could burst. There isn’t a race where I couldn’t come first. Challenge me to a fight, you’ll regret it. If a lion attacked, I would pet it. Show me a fence and I’ll clear it as the sun cheers me on. Can you hear it?

Today I have so much pep and vim I could tear a triceratops limb from limb, deflect a tsunami, defeat a huge army. That ugly block at the end of our street? I’d flatten it using my hands and bare feet. Don’t laugh. You may be bigger than me, but as the sun is my witness I’m fit as a flea. The naughtiest in class, full of mischief and beans, (imagine this girl when she reaches her teens!)
