August 7th: Hala's Biggest Soft Pop Day

Earning her spot on the Soft Hearts Club, Hala spent the 7th of August with an array of gentle artists and swathing tracks: Gracie Abrams, Reneé Rapp, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, and beyond, wrapping up 238 minutes or almost 4 hours straight of music. She mentions: "COOL TO NOTE ABOUT AUGUST 7TH - THAT WAS THE DAY I STARTED BLOGGER APPLICATION AND WORKED FROM MORNING TO NIGHT!!!!" Ever the procrastinator. Me too, Hala.

October 20th: Janet's Biggest Toby Fox Day

Janet mentioned she was surprised that Toby Fox was her top artist this year, but 10/20 might give a little bit of clarity to the mystery. Throughout the night and all afternoon, Janet sat through 4 hours of almost exclusively the UNDERTALE creator's work, especially tuning into the sequel DELTARUNE's supporting soundtrack.

June 25th: Ellie's Biggest Podcast Listening Day

A break from all the music talk, Ellie spent this summer day with one goal: Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, all. day. For more than 4 hours in 6 different sessions, Ellie spent her Wednesday listening to the audiobook, getting through a solid third of the sonic-tome in just that day. Impressive!

April 26th: Jebby's Most Diverse Day

Only one person can give Kano a run for her genre-spanning money, and that's Jebby—especially on April 26th. Spanning 50 distinct genres, the 90's ruled from a million different angles: punk bands and boy bands, trip hop and dream pop, she saw it all. Averaging less than 2 songs per artist for more than 200 songs, Jebby spent the day seeing it all. Shuffled playlist or careful curation? We may never know, but one thing's for certain: Genre Jebby's never bumping the same thing twice.

March 28th: Caleb's Most Diverse Day

I actually know very specifically what I was doing on this day: me and my friends were in an AirBNB in New Hampshire for Winter Break for our last day and we were hanging out, playing games, and just spending time together, and I was on aux! I pulled out all the cards: indie folk and bedroom pop for the morning, dreampop and R&B in the afternoon, classic 2010's pop in the afternoon and the Wicked soundtrack in the afternoon, raking in 10 hours of music with friends!

January 8th: Kano's Most Diverse Day

Kano's January 8th was an absolute smorgasbord of sound. Starting the year off right, Kano made her claim to one of our most diverse listeners early: a late night of "The Show Must Go On," a morning of soft rock and classic hits, and an afternoon of indie pop, jazz, bossa nova, R&B, and K-Pop. With 54 different genres in one day, it's no wonder she was our #2 in the genres chart. That's what I call range!

July 2nd: Petey's Repeat-Heavy Day

In his own words: "I didn't expect Johnny Cash to be in the top 5. But the reason it was — and the reason it was, specifically, on July 2nd, as I attached — is that's the day my grandma died. She loved Johnny Cash, particularly "My Mother's Hymn Book," and we would often play it while in the car together. Even when her memory had largely gone, she still remembered all the lyrics of the gospel songs of her youth. So on the day she died, as she lay there in hospice, I played that album over and over again to her."

February 27th: Teresa's Biggest INFINITE Day

Teresa mentioned she'd been listening to INFINITE since she was 12, and this year—more pertinently, this day!—was no exception. All night and into the next afternoon, Teresa moved through INFINITE's entire discography with 99 different tracks, almost entirely the one K-Pop group: only 3 other artists even got a song in.

September 25th: Aiden's Most Diverse Day

If there's one thing Aiden's got, it's range (I mean, check out his blogs!). The 25th is a perfect example of that: an Americana afternoon with Lana Del Rey and Ethel Cain, an evening of LatAm folk with Natalia Lafourcade, and a night of alt, both classic with Radiohead and contemporary with Fontaines D.C. Deftly switching from space to space, one thing is clear: Aiden can't be tied down.
