Something to believe in

It's not going to be the case here that "believe in yourself" is the be-all-end-all message. God's promises suggest that there's more to believe in, and Christianity is certainly the effort to do just that. However, it is going to be the case here that God encourages you to find a shared goodness in believing in him with others. Shared hope is a better kind of hope, and that is laid out powerfully in Romans 15.

Discuss any of these
  • How can shared hope help bridge differences—whether cultural, generational, or personal?
  • What happens to a community when hope fades? How can we restore it?
  • How does shared hope differ from shared optimism? Is there a deeper quality to hope?
  • What practical habits can help us nurture shared hope in our relationships?
  • How does shared hope prepare us to serve others rather than focus on ourselves?
