The project also includes compression and storage systems, as well as a dedicated refuelling station, creating a true industrial energy hub. From an application standpoint, the green hydrogen produced will be primarily allocated to powering and testing JMG fuel cell electric cranes (FCEVs), contributing to the decarbonisation of industrial lifting and handling systems. Any remaining capacity may be made available to distribution companies operating in the Piacenza logistics hubs, strengthening the area’s role as an intermodal energy platform.
The green hydrogen production plant that JMG Cranes is installing in Sarmato (PC), in the area of the former Eridania sugar refinery, is at the heart of the “Pick & Carry Green” project, conceived as an integrated industrial infrastructure for the energy transition.

On one side, the JMG MC650S, a 65-ton radio-controlled self-propelled crane, the flagship of the battery-electric range, appreciated for its power, manoeuvrability and precision even in the most complex spaces. On the other, the MC22500RE, part of the slewing crane family, designed for applications that require smooth rotation and total control in the most demanding production environments. Two different machines, united by a clear philosophy: offering versatile, efficient solutions fully aligned with the needs of the modern rental market. Also in Beaune, the real added value came from meeting users. Technical discussions, exchanges of experience, practical questions and operational feedback animated the days of the exhibition, confirming how central dialogue with the French and European markets is for JMG.
JDL 2025
Dialogue with the rental sector
In September 2025, JMG Cranes took part in JDL Expo at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune, when the French town became, for three days, a true crossroads for industrial lifting. JDL is a place for direct dialogue, designed specifically for the rental world, where manufacturers, operators and professionals meet to discuss real applications, operational needs and future scenarios. JMG brought two significant representatives of its electric lifting vision.
Gala Dinner 2025
The moment when the community comes together
At the end of September 2025, following the conclusion of GIS 2025, JMG Cranes chose to celebrate the success of the event in the most natural way possible: by bringing its community home, to the Crane Citadel in Sarmato. On the evening of Saturday, 27 September, the headquarters was transformed into a place unlike its usual self — still professional, but warmer and more informal, designed for spending quality time together with colleagues, friends and families, with long-standing partners and industry customers providing the perfect backdrop. The evening was built around a simple idea: the value of relationships. Good food, a welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to meet again without the urgency of the trade fair, taking time to calmly discuss solutions, projects and future perspectives. Then came the highlight of the night: the preview unveiling of the new JMG MC250.08, a significant milestone in the company’s innovation journey. A live preview experienced through the eyes of those who use the machines, choose them, recommend them and contribute every day — even with a comment or a suggestion — to strengthening the direction JMG has taken. The September 2025 gala dinner was more than a celebration: it was a way to say thank you and to reaffirm that behind every achievement there is a community growing together with JMG. And that evening, in the Crane Citadel, the entire community was on full display.
often complex spaces, heavy loads, millimetre-precise movements and the highest level of attention to safety. In this scenario, JMG solutions sparked interest and dialogue, becoming the starting point for technical discussions, exchanges of experience and reflections on the evolution of electric lifting applied to a highly specialised sector. Once again at Marmomac 2025, the greatest value lay in the meetings. People who stopped to observe, ask questions, share real needs and concrete case studies. A direct exchange that confirmed how essential dialogue with those who work with stone every day is in order to continue developing increasingly targeted solutions. For JMG, Marmomac was not just a trade fair, but another step in a journey built on listening, presence and shared growth.
marmomac 2025
When lifting meets stone
n September, JMG Cranes brought its expertise to Marmomac, the leading international event for the natural stone industry, processing and dedicated technologies. A context where precision, reliability and control are not merely requirements, but essential conditions for everyday operations. And it is precisely here that JMG lifting solutions find one of their most concrete expressions. Participation in Marmomac provided an opportunity to engage with operators, processors, designers and partners who are deeply familiar with the needs of stone yards and processing plants:
gis 2025
The JMG space was transformed into a place of continuous dialogue, where the machines became the starting point for broader conversations about efficiency, sustainability and new industrial applications. JMG Cranes began to unveil innovations designed to redefine the very concept of the crane, anticipating solutions capable of pushing beyond traditional boundaries in terms of compactness, durability, operation in confined spaces and overall efficiency. The message was clear from the very claim chosen for this edition: “More than pick & carry cranes.” A statement of intent that conveys a broader vision, built on high performance, versatility and new application possibilities. GIS Expo 2025 thus proved to be not only a showcase, but also a moment of consolidation and attentive listening.
GIS Expo, more than a trade fair
Also in September, JMG Cranes played a leading role at GIS Expo in Piacenza, the largest European event dedicated to lifting and industrial handling. A unique appointment in the trade fair landscape, capable of bringing together in one place cranes, aerial work platforms, telescopic handlers, forklifts, solutions for mechanised logistics, ports and heavy transport. An ideal setting to tell the story of a sector in constant evolution. For JMG, GIS has never been just a trade fair. It is a key moment of the year, an opportunity to reconnect with customers, partners and professionals, to build relationships, discuss real operational needs and share a common vision for the future of lifting.
Company Walk 2025
Walking together
In July, JMG chose to slow down the pace — quite literally — and to do so together. The company walk through the hills of Piacenza was far more than a sporting event: it was a moment of shared experience open to employees, friends, customers and partners, designed to enjoy the local area and time away from the company with the same spirit that inspires everyday work. T-shirts ready, comfortable shoes on, and a route immersed in the landscape provided the setting for a day focused on well-being, simplicity and relationships. No competition, no stopwatch: just the pleasure of walking side by side, talking, getting to know one another better and strengthening that sense of community that JMG cultivates even beyond its production departments. The July walk fits fully into the corporate welfare programme launched in 2025, reaffirming the company’s commitment to creating genuine opportunities for connection, where work, people and the local territory find a natural balance. A shared experience that left its mark, made up of slow steps, smiles and spontaneous conversations. Because even away from cranes and jobsites, JMG continues to build strong bonds — one step at a time.
JMG Cup 2025
When play becomes community
2025 at JMG also meant this: a natural grass five-a-side football pitch, eight teams, and a full day bringing together employees, suppliers, customers and friends. The first edition of the JMG Cup was not just a tournament, but the natural extension of an idea conceived from the very beginning of the new Sarmato headquarters: creating a true corporate “citadel”, where work coexists with well-being and shared experiences. The five-a-side pitch represents the first tangible step in a corporate welfare journey that is also open to the local community. An initiative developed in collaboration with the municipal administration, making the facility available to young people from Sarmato and the surrounding areas, and transforming an industrial space into a place for meeting and social interaction. On the pitch, competition was real – and ultimately won by the JMG team – but the final result soon gave way to the true spirit of the event: playing together, getting to know one another better, and strengthening relationships that go beyond everyday work. Alongside the pitch, true to JMG tradition, cranes could not be missing. On the sidelines, a new protagonist made its first appearance: the MC 15.08, part of the M Series, shown for the first time in an informal setting, between matches and applause. The JMG Cup thus marks the beginning of an experience set to grow: an event that will return in the coming years, with the ambition of becoming a travelling fixture across Italy and, in the future, across Europe. Because even outside the jobsite, JMG continues to build connections.
Bauma 2025
Under the Munich sky
Bauma was an opportunity to meet in person, to devote time to people and to talk about electric technology applied to lifting with a concrete, direct and unfiltered approach. Months later, what remains above all is the value of those encounters. Thank you to everyone who visited JMG in Munich, stopped by the stand, took a closer look at the cranes, asked questions, and shared experiences and suggestions. Valuable insights, carefully listened to and destined to leave their mark. Because every exchange at Bauma 2025 helped shape the next steps of JMG Cranes — and nothing that was shared will be forgotten.
In April, JMG Cranes brought its vision to Bauma, the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, mining and jobsite equipment. The JMG stand became a meeting point for professionals, partners and visitors interested in the world of electric lifting. Throughout the week, JMG presented its latest innovations, turning the stand into an open space for dialogue: not just machines, but ideas, discussions and shared visions of how industrial lifting will evolve in the years to come.
