I feel enriching the students is important for their overall development. Attending the Gameracy Programme has really helped with their communication, listening and team working skills. A big thank you to all the Library staff who have delivered these sessions throughout the year.

Thank You!
Gaming and literacy go hand-in-hand. Games come with instructions, menus, multiple card decks, and mathematical mechanics.
Twilight Creations: Zombies!!! is set in a post-apocalyptic city overrun with slow-moving zombies that will try to eat you. Your objective is to fight your way past the zombies, rescue the pilot, and be the first player to reach the helipad and fly away. You can choose to wait for your friends, but you don't have to...
Gameracy is a programme that improves literacy and numeracy using tabletop games to take the stress out of learning.
Escape the Dark Castle is a 'choose-your-own-adventure' game with a twist –you play as a group who either win or die together. You have all been imprisoned in the bowels of a creepy castle infested with monsters, traps, and the occasional treasure chest. All you must do is get out alive...
The most effective game events feature facilitators to introduce new players to games and teach them the rules. Unknown rules are a barrier that mean without support users are unlikely to try tabletop games.
Gameracy also supports student enrichment by boosting wellbeing and providing new, valuable life skills, such as teamwork, strategisation, and communication.
We also sourced ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) videos matching the theme of each game, to play in the background for the duration of each session.
In Betrayal at House on the Hill you explore a haunted mansion that has trapped you within its spooky walls, until one of you turns traitor and turns on the rest. The heroes must then defeat the traitor and escape before it's too late.
We developed our own in-house mobile app that collates sound effects for all three tabletop games, used by the facilitator during play to add another level of captivation.
Gameracy facilitators have in-depth knowledge of each game, and provide space outside of the classroom as a non-traditional learning environment. We play the games with the students to encourage a positive shared experience.
