Recently, my family and I were lucky enough to visit New York in December. We chose this destination for the obvious reason that it would be magical at Chriostmas and it absolutely was!We spent our days exploring the city from visiting famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Top of the Rock and this amazing Christmas themed roof top bar. I would recommend this trip to anyone, there are lots of activities / places to suit all ages.
For one of our evenings we booked a special river cruise along the Hudson River. The views of the skyline were amazing. The service on board was eqaully as good. This was a nice and relaxing evening trip where you can still see the iconic views of the city. I would 100% recommend visiting New York and we certainly plan to return. There are so many trips / places to see witrh different events on throughout the year
Visiting the Statue of Liberty was a highlight of our trip. We were very lucky it was a bright day which meant the views were amazing - worth queing for! The area was bustling with people. You can also choose to see this iconic statue via a ferry trip which takes you very close to the statue.
For the For t
Would you go back to that place, or is there somewhere new youâd like to explore next?
Where did you go on your most recent holiday, and what made you choose that destination?
What was the highlight of your trip â any standout experiences or places youâd recommend?

As we prepare for the upcoming umbrella regulations, we are working closely with our agency partners to ensure they are fully informed and ready to comply. To support this, weâve developed the JSL Scorecard (Joint and Several Liability)âa practical tool designed to assess each agencyâs level of preparedness. The scorecard consists of a series of targeted questions that help clarify readiness and highlight any gaps in compliance with the new guidelines. Our sales team is actively engaging with agencies to complete the scorecard and then collaborating on tailored action plans to address any areas requiring improvement. Feel free to take a look -

đ Chinese New Year 2026 - The Year of the Horse đ
Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in Chinese culture, observed across China and communities worldwide. In 2026, it begins on February 17th, marking the start of the Year of the Horse. Why Chinese New Year matters
Far more than a single day, Chinese New Year is a 15 day festival rooted in ancient customs, mythology, and family values, with the zodiac cycling through 12 animals. It marks renewal, the turning of the lunisolar calendar, and the symbolic clearing away of the old to welcome good fortune for the year ahead.
Key cultural themes Many traditions stem from the legend of Nian, a mythical beast frightened away by loud noises and the colour red â inspiring fireworks, firecrackers, and vibrant celebrations. Families clean their homes before the New Year to sweep away âold dustâ â a symbolic act of removing misfortune and making space for good luck.
The New Yearâs Eve reunion dinner is the most important meal of the year, bringing generations together around symbolic dishes. Red decorations, lanterns, and couplets fill homes and streets, as red is believed to ward off evil and attract fortune.
