First, end users are recruited, and clinical scenarios are developed to illustrate how the case would be used in business-as-usual. As part of this setup, stakeholders work together to define and agree on a research question (RQ) that the simulation can answer as its primary goal. Participants are then briefed on their goals for the upcoming clinical simulation.
Finally, the collected data is analysed to address the initial evaluation questions.The resulting findings are compiled into a report.
Next, the simulation is conducted. Observers monitor how real users interact with the tool and note any usability issues. A debrief with the participants follows, during which participants reflect on the simulation and provide feedback.
