This purpose-built space contains a Simulation Lab with different rooms built around healthcare settings. We begin in the co-design space.
Imagine you are conducting a simulation of your exciting new digital health solution.
Welcome to the Validitron!

Once you have the prototype, workflow, scenarios, stakeholders and research questions identified, you are ready for simulation. Here, imagine you are simulating a consultation for a new tool in primary care.
The Simluation Room

The viewing room allows facilitators, researchers, and other stakeholders to observe the simulation in real time without disrupting the activity.

Bring your stakeholders together, including clinicians, consumers, and their caregivers, and co-design your digital health tool to meet their needs.
Here we can map the new workflow of the digital health tool, for testing in simulation, as well as design your ‘scenarios’ or what the simulation will involve.
Your consumer or patient actor (depending on what is required), would sit here during the simulation.
Your GP or other primary care provider, would sit here during the simulation, testing the tool and simulating the scenario you have designed.
You can conduct stop-motion studies here, which are a specific type of method that allow you to understand how long tasks take.
Cameras collect all the data you need to analyse your simulation.
Using the Validitron’s Sandbox, you can host your prototype tool and access real electronic medical records (including patient data) and other clinical information systems that are required for your tool to work.
Every interaction with the prototype is captured on screen, giving you precision data on usability.
Here, researchers and other stakeholders can observe the simulation and collect additional observational data.
