The aim of these activities is for students to learn, practice and reinforce the verb forms of TO BE. It is designed to guide students through a scaffolded learning process — from basic conjugation rules to sentence correction and independent text production. The activities are designed to first teach or revise the verb forms followed by a set of activities that use it in sentence, negative and question formats as well as full text practice. Depending on your needs, pick the activities that suit your lesson plan to help the ss. Most of the activities are self-explanatory, but the instructions are in the headings of the activities.
* Learn

* Correct Pick

* Introduction and memorization of subject-verb pairing. Click SHOW and the pronouns appear. By clicking each pronoun - a correct verb form appears. Use it to introduce or quickly revise the forms. Click PLAY - the pronouns will appear at random and T can ask the ss for the correct form of the verb.

* Students "spot" the correct sentence among sets of three in order to practice the correct structure. * SPOT IT - the next slide contains a similar activity, however this time the aim is for the students to go from the beginning to the end without making a mistake. T can use this activity as a fun class game to reinforce the correct forms of the verbs. After making a mistake the ss need to start the activity from the beginning.

* Sentence Fix

* Guided production and structural awareness. Using visual prompts (like the airplane) and word cues, students must construct a complete sentence by inserting the correct verb.

* Text Check 1

* The ss have 3 texts to practice the verb forms. Only after finishing the first one can the ss do another one and finally the last one. After completing each text, the image of a different object appears which ss should recognize. T can use them for further practice.

* Yes or No

* Students compare a statement to a picture (e.g., a brown dog paired with the word "pink") to decide if the grammar describes the image accurately. Target grammar - The pig isn't green, it is pink. The images and word prompts are picked at random so ss have a lot of options to create the sentences.

* Text Check 2

* A 16-sentence cloze test requiring students to provide the correct form for various subjects and formats. The ss need to recognize a sentence, a negation and a question. Each correct answer revelas a piece of a puzzle that ss later put together. * Follow-up - encourage ss to talk about the image they put together.

* Question time

* Students are prompted with a subject/attribute (like the pig and the word "hot") to formulate a question, such as "Is the pig hot?". The activity works the same way as the previous activity so the prompts are picked at random.
