Cléopatre serait née vers 69 avant Jésus Christ dans la ville d'Alexandrie en Egypte. Elle a deus soeurs et deux frères. Elle est surtout la fille de Ptolémée le pharaon (c'est à dire le roi) d'Egypte. Elle doit devenir Reine.

Les égyptiens utilisaient le khol pour 3 raisons:
- spirituelle: c'est une référence à l'oeil d'Horus symbole de chance.
- médicale: le plomb empêche les infections.
- pratique: il protège les yeux des rayons du soleil.
le debut du regne
A 17 ans, Cléopatre monte sur le trone. Elle est obligée de partager le pouvoir avec son frère. Ce partage crée des conflits.
la rencontre avec cesar
Célopatre reste deux ans à Rome mais en mars 44avant JC, César est assassiné. Cléopatre doit quitter Rome avec Césarion, le fils qu'elle a eu avec César. En Egypte, elle fait assasiner son nouvel époux et déclare Césarion comme son succésseur.
Quand il rentre à Rome, César organise de grandes fêtes pour célébrer ses victoires militaires. Il invite Cléopatre qui n'hésite pas à le rejoindre. César s'inquiète des sénateurs qui aimeraient se débarasser de lui.
Cléopatre rencontre César lorsqu'il vient en Egypte et ils tombent amoureux.
marc antoine
A la mort de César, des nouveaux chefs arrivent à la tête de la Rpublique Romaine. Parmi eux, Marc Antoine souhaite rencontrer Cléopatre. Lorsqu'elle se présente, Marc Antoine tombe sous le charme de la jeune reine. Ensemble, ils vont avoir trois enfants.
La disparition d'une reine
Marc Antoine et Octave s'oppose pour le controle de la République Romaine. Ils s'affrontent lors d'une grande bataille navale au large d'Actium en Grèce. C'est une défaite pour Marc Antoine qui se suicide. Cléopatre préfère mourir à son tour plutôt que de se rendre. Elle se laisse mordre par un serpent venimeux.
