Rules:
- 2 teams of 5 players each compete on a court.
- The object of the game si to throw the ball into the opposing team's basket. The team with the most points wins.
- The game lasts 40 minutes divided into four quarters.
- The ball can travel through dribbling or passing.
- A player is no longer able to dribble with the ball once the player puts two hands on the ball.
- If the offensive team puts the ball into play, it has 8 seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line.
- An attacking team has 24 seconds from gaining possession of the ball to shoot at the basket.
- After a team scores a basket, the ball is returned back to the opposition to start again.
- As soon as the player stops dribbling, they can only take 2 more steps. They then need to either pass the ball or make a shot attempt.
How to score
- 2 points: When a team makes a basket.
- 3 points: a basket made outside of the three-point arc.
- 1 point: Free shots. If a team is awarded a technical foul then they will receive between one and three free shots. Each shot scored will be awarded with one point.

A basketball match is played on a large rectangular court, measured at 28.7 m long and 15.2 m wide wide.
Fouls
4 types:
- Personal foul: Hitting, pushing, slapping...
- Technical foul: technical violations and lack of discipline (disregard of referee decisions, provocation....)
- Unsportsmanlike foul: unethical behavior
- Disqualifying foul: flagrant unsportsmanlike behavior
