Es la parte racional de cada individuo, por lo que se encarga de estar en contacto con la realidad y de las acciones que se realizan en el día a día.

DEFINICIÓN

Es el lugar que tiene toda la energía psíquica. La libido es la energía sexual y se rige por el principio de placer. Es una expresión de las pulsiones biológicas y quiere estar satisfecho en el momento. Tiene toda la parte innata, pero está en conflicto con el Yo y el Superyó debido a que se presenta en el momento cuando se necesita o cuando surge. Además parte de las funciones de ello es incrementar el placer, disminuir el dolor y la tensión.

Es aquel que juzga y critica, ya que parece un juez está para cumplir las reglas, tanto personales como sociales. De ahí que cuando existe un comportamiento que vaya en contra de estas reglas el sentimiento de culpa puede aparecer, ya que parte de sus funciones es generar conciencia y limitar algunas acciones.
