3rd Act of Succession

King Henry VIII passed the third Act of Succession. This one declared that Jane Seymour’s child, Edward would be king. And it restored the rights of Princesses Mary and Elizabeth to succeed were Edward to die (which is what happened).

Act of Supremacy

Passed by King Henry VIII. The Act of Supremacy was passed by Parliament, calling King Henry the “Supreme Head of the Church of England” instead of the Catholic Pope. It also required the English people to recognize Anne Boleyn as the new queen (after his divorce from Catherine of Aragon).

Act of Succession

King Henry VIII also passed the Act of Succession. The Act of Succession declared that offspring from Henry and Anne Boleyn were legitimate, and any other offspring were not (i.e. Princess Mary, whose mother was Catherine of Aragon).
