Virtual Lesson Date Tab
You have been entering your VLA dates already this year, but we wanted to share a few reminders:
- You can now set a specific time for your VLA
- Don't forget to add your Zoom link
- Enter your dates at least a week in advance
- These dates and times will populate the Student Schedule page!
Keep it up!
Attendance Reminders
At this time, if you forget to enter VL attendance the week of your virtual lesson, you must contact Courtney and Daryl. Daryl can enter the data into the database.
This is also the case if there is an error with your attendance. For example, if you forget to mark a student as present the week of the VL, contact Daryl with the information so he can update the database.
Cheer up!
STUDENT MEETINGS
There are two ways we are capturing student meetings. Some staff are attached as a learning support role with students, and they will see the student meetings flyout on their Teacher icon.
Another way is at the course level- we are using this as way for our Non-academic courses that have live opportunities with students to track attendance. For example, all school counseling courses will not see the icon on the teacher dashboard next to that specific course (see picture to the left)
STUDENT MEETINGS
Using a calendar format, staff with this features can "add new" meetings. It will then open the meeting information page, where staff enter a title, date, time and how often that meeting occurs.
After setting that info, staff selects specific students from their list.
After the meeting date/time, staff then can take attendance by clicking on the Person icon.
Cheer up!
Student Schedule
Something we have never had at PALCS is a single spot for students and families to see their virtual lesson and meeting schedule. We are releasing the first phase of our student schedule in the next week. It is critical that you use the VL Date tab to enter your times so it is accurate for families and learners.
WHat Will it Look Like?
Once it is released, families, students and staff can find the schedule by clicking the student info tab. Below are screenshots from our testing environment to give you a preview!
Great work! Please let us know if you have any questions.
