Where is it?
The United States is in the Northern Hemisphere in the continent America. Most of the country is in the Western Hemisphere. The main part of the USA is located between Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. To the east of the USA is the Atlantic Ocean, and to the west is the Pacific Ocean. It also includes Alaska, in the northwest (which borders Canada and is close to Russia across the Bering Sea), and Hawaii, a group of islands in the central Pacific Ocean. The country shares land borders with Canada and Mexico, and sea borders with Russia, The Bahamas, and Cuba.
Climate trhough the year
The United States is a very large country, so the climate changes a lot from one region to another. In the north, winters are cold and snowy, while summers are cool and warm. In the south, winters are usually warm, and summers are hot and humid. On the west coast, especially in California, the climate is Mediterranean, with dry summers and rainy winters. In the central part of the country, there are often strong storms and tornadoes, especially in an area called Tornado Alley. In general, temperatures rise in summer and fall in winter, but the weather can be very different depending on the region.

The United States was founded in 1776, when the thirteen colonies declared independence from Great Britain.
