Covidn brought about big change in th eway we taech our children. In particular, the use of virtual education took center-stage and as of now still has a strong place in elementary schools.. Learning virutually is to have programs created or learning forums that allow for the transmission of educational materials through a computer device.! Prior to that, education was primarily in the classroom physicall. However, due to the covid epidemic, being in=person was not possible for some time. During a time before returning to the classroom full-time, the process was to have children in school some days, and virtual other days and this is called hybrid learning. This allowed the teacher s to give attentino to students in -person, while also have the ability to teach virtually.. The need during this time, was to know how children learn, so there are certain theories that can be found. For instance, there is the concept s of attention, memory, and motivation.n
Some teaching styles are: Authority style - Good for teaching history, more lecturing and more student listening Demonstrators - Utilize multimedia, and other tools to encourage student learning Facilitators - Students actively partcipate, and it encourages critical thinking and problem solving Delegator - Encourages group-learning Hybrid - This type of teacher takes a part of all of the others to utitilize multimedia, critial thinking, authority
My teaching practices will allow for different types of learners in my students, by incorporating different modes of information trasmittal, whether smart-board, notebooks, worksheets, etc. Being able to reach all children is necessary to succesfully teach all children.
Some ways that teaching children of any learning type would be to: Incorporate different teaching techniques Use the VARK model: visual, auditory, reading, kinesthetic Creating engaging activities Observe and correct Providing resources for students and parents.
