Cascade
Use Cascade to import a Direct Manager’s objective into an Employee’s Individual Objective Plan. This can be initiated by either the Manager (“push”) or the Employee (“pull”). Cascaded objectives automatically appear in the recipient's Objective Plan.
Click the flip cards below to find out more about the cascading process
The Employee’s objectives should be aligned with, but not identical to, those of the Direct Manager. When an objective is cascaded, at least one element—such as the performance measure, milestone, or target—must be adjusted to avoid duplication across organizational levels.
Should Employee objectives be identical to their Direct Manager’s?
Milestones are important in helping employees understand the steps needed to achieve their objectives.
The same objective can be cascaded to multiple employees if it is relevant to more than one section or role.
How can milestones support achievement?
Can the same objective be shared across the team?
